DR. ROBERT SHAW, MD
Robert B. Shaw Jr., MD, earned his medical degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. At Stanford, Dr. Shaw was awarded the "Stanford University Medical Scientist Award," and the "Excellence in Teaching Award." Dr. Shaw completed his general and plastic surgery training at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. During his training, he was awarded with multiple awards for excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. He has written numerous papers and given over 30 presentations on facial aging throughout the United States and Europe. His work on facial aging has resulted in interviews with CNN, MSNBC, USA Today, NPR, Allure, and Self. He was also honored to be listed in the global directory of, "Who's Who in Healthcare and Medicine" in 2010. Dr. Shaw is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He performs the full spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery including facial reconstruction and hand surgery. He, his wife Katy, and daughter Amelia are honored to be part of the Springfield community.
Dr. Shaw has been appointed to the University of Missouri School of Medicine at the Springfield Clinical Campus as the Assistant Professor of Clinical Plastic Surgery.
