Dr. Robert Shaw, MD
As a renowned and board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Robert B. Shaw Jr. works with each patient to achieve her or his personal aesthetic and reconstructive goals. Dr. Shaw focuses on providing a caring, relaxing environment and is highly sought after for his expert work.

Dr. Shaw earned his medical degree from Stanford University in California. At Stanford, he was continually acknowledged for his dedication to research and teaching and was awarded the “Stanford University Medical Scientist Award,” and the “Excellence in Teaching Award.” Dr. Shaw completed his general and plastic surgery training at the University of Rochester in New York.
He has authored numerous papers and book chapters and given over 40 presentations on facial aging throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. His studies on facial aging resulted in interviews with CNN, MSNBC, USA Today, and NPR, as well as Allure and Self magazines. South Korea featured Dr. Shaw in a documentary film on facial aging and his research has changed how facial rejuvenation is viewed and performed across the globe.
He is honored to be listed in the global directory of, “Who’s Who in Healthcare and Medicine” and named “Top Doctor” in Springfield’s local 417 Magazine on a yearly basis. Dr. Shaw is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has been appointed to the University of Missouri School of Medicine at the Springfield Clinical Campus as the Assistant Professor of Clinical Plastic Surgery.
